Mennonite in a Little Black Dress: A Memoir of Going Home

Mennonite in a Little Black Dress - Rhoda Janzen Really enjoyed this book though it seemed to drag a little towards the end.Enjoyed the author's depiction of her parents; her father's good looks and her mother's 'niceness' and upbeat attitude toward everything. After healing from a hysterectomy, her husband left her for a guy he met on gay.com. The same week the author was in a head-on accident necessitating her return home to the Mennonites. The author's humor with her own life after so much adversity was at times funny, at times kind of sad. A peek into the lives and beliefs of the Mennonite congregation was interesting. If you have a chance, I recommend this one for a light read. If nothing else, it will certainly make your own life feel much better!
